Eksena sa Airport

I accompanied a sister in fetching her Auntie and her hubby at the airport last Sunday night. Being in a family where living and working abroad is a remote idea (we are all nationalistic, hahaha), it was actually my first time to be at the “Arrival (International)” area of NAIA. I saw throng of people waiting at the area (wow, ang dami nga talaga umuuwi kapag mag Pa Pasko), the look of excitement painted on their faces. Irene’s Auntie came a little late as the flight was delayed which gave us more opportunities to witness the Filipino way of welcoming their loved ones coming from abroad. And I truly liked what I saw J Upon seeing their loved ones, they automatically wave their hand (1^st part of welcome), position themselves nearer the Exit and give their warm hugs and kisses and we are not referring to one (1) family member here, usually it’s an entire clan welcoming their dear OFW J From afar, I sense the deep love and sincere concern and the longing to relay a gamut of heartwarming stories. It’s good to note that despite being away from the family, the bond is preserved and it’s rekindled during the homecoming. I really want to take pictures but I guess these moments should be kept private J I remember telling the sister that perhaps they would eat together somewhere (Syempre, Pinoy) or there’s a feast waiting for their loved one J Only in the Philippines J
