Family Picture - 1st Blog

I have uploaded a new picture in my Friendster gallery..it is our family picture ( cool eh?).. This I would say is my favorite ( yeah right, to the point of making a blog huh?) among all the pictures I have posted in this area. I tell you.....I invested much time, mustered enough courage, gave out endless cajoling for that family picture! Hanep noh? In the end, they (my mom, brother and sister) all agreed to have a photo shoot with me because......I promised them that I would be treating them at Max's for lunch (Sus, Pagkain lang pala katapat!). They are not really keen on this kind of stuff but when we were at the studio, we were all excited. Our spirits somewhat dampened when the memory cards malfunctioned and shots were re-taken for more than 15 times ( imagine!). Our all-out smiles were nearly turning into a full-blown frown. After almost an hour of varied poses and cheesy smiles ( now I know how hard it is to be a celebrity doing pictorials!), finally, the memory card cooperated and alas! the pictures came out fine! Yahoooo! I remember that even when my father was still alive, we really had just a few family pictures. I treasure family pictures.

I love seeing family pictures. In these mementos, I see genuine smiles, real joys. I see love. These are extra special as I have this perception that it will really take some effort for a family to have this (yes! Based from experience!). Isn't it, we will only think of these pictures be taken when there's a momentous event Wedding...Baptism...Graduation...Christmas..New Year....the likes (in my case, all our family pictures were captured on ordinary days). The bad news is, after a family picture is taken, it will take ages before another one follows. Tsk..tsk..tsk...

I realized that we should not wait for an important occasion to invite our families for a photo shoot. Regardless of the place; be it in a studio, at home, at the park, what is essential is that you are together as a family and I know you will agree with me that the best times we have are the times that we are with our families. Let us not wait for the time that we would be thinking of this when we are already not complete ( owing to a gamut of reasons -- how I wish we still have De {my dad} with us).

Now is the time...What are you waiting for?

Take the initiative....

Capture those precious moments.....Invite your families for a photo shoot NOW! It will all be worth it... :)
