Sari-Saring Kuwento 2008 (2)
Thanks to the long weekend, there's time to blog :)
Attended the wedding of our former BWM at Lingkod Angeles and Lingkod San Fernando last Saturday. Ganda! I am very happy for Bheng that she has found the man God has destined for her through Phogs and vice versa. I love attending Lingkod weddings talaga. Love is overflowing sa lahat ng tao for the new couple. It was a joy to see the kapatids from both ALNP-AC and SFP. I miss all of you! Amazing that after some time, I still see you serving the community with much enthusiasm and zeal. See you around in some other ALNP activities :)

I have not caught much sleep yet but I am definitely feeling better than last week. For one thing, nakauwi na rin ako sa wakas!!!! In my 2-year stint in Makati, last week was the first time that I was not able to go home due to the demands of my work. Medyo tampo ng konti si mom pero ok na ngayon. Last week, I missed 3 important events:
1) Re-commitment night at ALNP-Makati (Friday)
2) Bukas Palad concert (huhuhuhu, my most anticipated concert for the year - Saturday)
3) Shower party of Bheng (Sunday)
Tomorrow will be the start of another gruelling (?) week. I am thankful that in all those stressful days, God was my source of strength. I've never been prayerful, hahaha. He sustained me, really. For all the miracles that happened during the testing, I know HE was in control. HE is in control. AMDG!

Looking forward to ALNP-Makati/Greenhills' Lenten Retreat this coming March 1-2 at Guadalupe Lay Force. Yes, leave ng March 3 :) Sana.... :)

Received 5 more packets of stamps from Italy, USA, Philippines, Malaysia and Chile. Dumadami na WWW stamps ko ah! I realized I am running out of Philippine stamps to trade or give out. Perhaps in my next stamp club's auction ( Yes, I am now an official member of a stamp club in Manila yehey), I should consider those Philippine stamps being sold in lots. If you play your cards right, you will definitely go home with quality but cheap buys. Where can you buy a packet of 64 stamps for 10 pesos? Yes, that affordable. In World Treasures (a stamp, coin, paper bill etc store at Megamall), 4 pieces of stamps will cost you 50 pesos, the least. The last time I attended the club's auction, I was in "observing" mode. I was able to bring home a 1990 Scott Catalogue edition for 50 bucks. Cool noh?

In the January 20th column of Lucy Torres-Gomez (I love her!) at Phil. Star, she came up with a Wish List for the year 2008. I thought of coming up with my own list but I just jotted a few lines. Kulang pa. Will blog the list once through.

Bo Sanchez has a new book! If I am not mistaken, the title of the book is 7 Secrets to Real Freedom. It's pegged at 350 php. For the avid fans of Bo, it's possible that you have read some parts of the book through his website. This will be in my priority list for the books I wish to buy this year. Other books in my priority:
1. Passion and Purity - Elisabeth Elliot
2. The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho ( have read the e-book pero iba pa rin ang totoong libro)
3. 5 People you Meet in Heaven - Mitch Albom ( e-book lang ang meron ako). Funny that Jessica Zafra has come up with a book titled 500 People You Meet in Hell. This I do not intend to buy or read ( sorry sa mga Zafra fans, hehehhe)
4. I am looking for a good Cathecism book -- any recommendations?
