Baseless fears

Just want to share excerpts from the today’s readings which boosted my faith in these trying times…..

John 14:27
Jesus said to his disciples: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.

Acts 14: 22
They strengthened the spirits of the disciples and exhorted them to persevere in the faith, saying, “It is necessary for us to undergo many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God.”

In the past few days, God constantly reminded me that my fears are baseless. I was worrying about a lot of things, majority of which are trivial. I was disappointed with myself that I was dwelling much on the negative things (for people who bore the brunt of hearing these woes, I apologize). A stark contrast for someone regarded by people as a jolly, always-smiling fellow. These verses confirmed His great love for me. I humbly need a lot of pruning (as in, major!) and with this, I’ll tighten my grip on Him who is preparing only the best for me. I just have to trust.

Our company branch in San Fernando will likewise have its vaccination schedule this June. I was grateful that I was allowed to transfer my family’s slots to Pampanga, allowing me to save on transportation costs. God is good! =)
