Missing De

Today is Father’s Day! But it will be Mom whom we will be greeting with this. Kidding aside, I miss De.

Let me count the ways….

My father was my dedicated Math teacher. Did you know that until highschool, it was my dad who made majority of my assignments but his favorite was Math and that was an understatement J We grew up spending some time esp summer in that mini classroom at the back of our house. Ang kailangan lang ni Daddy…blackboard and chalk at babanatan na niya kami ng Age and Solution problems ng Algebra, among others.

My father was my dependable English teacher.

My father was my determined Music teacher. Dad loves to play the guitar and sing Visayan songs. I do not know if we quite disappointed him that no one showed an interest toward playing the guitar. Fast forward, I will be joining the Music Workshop this 30th for those who want to learn playing the guitar to be facilitated by Lingkod bros and siss. Guitar ni Dad just needs some fixing. Sayang naman J

My father was my first driving teacher. Malamang, wala naman kasi kami sasakyan J Pero it pays to have actual training pa rin kaya nakalimutan na rin namin ang driving theory ni De as the years passed.

Parang honoring lang kay De ah J Kaya for those who still have their fathers around, lucky you! Praise God for their presence. Show your love and respect for them. They deserve it. No questions asked.

For those na wala nang tatay, our biological fathers may not be around for us forever but our Father will be with us until the end of time

·         "....And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age" - Matthew 28:20

P.S. De, see you later at Good Sheperd J
