Postal Tour
It was unfortunate that I was not able to attend the Postal Tour at Liwasang Bonifacio ( last Dec. 16) sponsored by Filipinas Stamp Collector's Club due to some unavoidable circumstances. Anyway, there would be future postal tours as relayed by the members of the group and the great news is that, these tours are free. Wow! I did not know that there is such a tour - visiting postal banks, postal museum and library and witnessing auction meetings rolled in one activity. This would be something I would look forward to in 2008 :)
To date, I've received 12 packets of stamps from all over the world, each packet containing around 10-200 stamps. Amazing noh?! Good thing, my brother promised me a stamp album as Christmas gift ( yeah, with much prodding!!!). Would you know some stores selling affordable stamp albums in Manila, particularly somewhere in the Divisoria area? I found some at National Bookstore but I am still exploring other options. My first stamp album was really a cheap buy at 150 php. Today, those stamp albums worth 200 php and below are just small ones, it would not even fit 200 stamps. I am not sold to the idea of making my own stamp album (as other philatelists do) as I do not have that art of creativity, tsk..tsk..tsk...
